About
I’m Martin Robinson, a mental health content creator. This is the bit where I share my story and let you know how I can help you.
Let’s start with three things that get my attention:
1 in 4 people will experience a mental health problem
1 in 7 of us will experience a mental health problem in the workplace
1 in 5 adults say they spend more than 40 hours a week online

Before we explore them, I’d like to tell you a little bit about me.
Or, you can head straight to my content >
My Story
My journey started in October 2011. I was suddenly struck down with a neurological condition that left me disabled and in an incredible amount of pain. Since then, I've had to go out and find the things that have helped me get through it.
I found amazing books, apps and ideas. They changed my life, as I was able to build up my own toolkit of inner resources.
That’s why this site exists. It’s here to give you immediate access to the things that will make a difference. I want to get everything out of my head and into yours to help you.
The best thing is, everything I’ve learned hasn’t just helped me get through hard times. Going through this journey has improved my performance, changed the way I look at life and provided plenty of motivation.
Right now, I’ve significantly recovered and appreciate everything I’m able to do. My journey also moved me to more meaningful work. I’ve been lucky enough to teach wellbeing. I’ve seen what a difference it can make and it’s what I do now.
Through my work in the charity sector, I’ve assisted hundreds of people facing difficult situations and I’ve been able to come up with unique and effective ways to help them. I’ve seen the problems people face, I’ve spoken to other people out there making a difference and now I want to help you.
I want to help you feel better. I want to help you be better. Connect you with the things that matter.
My subjects
To help you improve your mental health, I go beyond wellbeing and explore productivity and technology. You’ll soon see how this all comes together to help you.
Wellbeing
It's time to take a fresh, proactive approach to mental health and wellbeing. This isn’t just for people who are struggling, as we can all do simple things to feel better and prevent problems appearing.
Productivity
Work is usually the thing we need to do to get to where we want to be. Whatever that is for you, it often throws problems your way. There are far more effective ways to deal with these than just trying to work harder.
Technology
Digital devices have left our desks and are all around us now, so we need to take control. We need to find the right balance and pick the right tools. It also helps if you’re aware of what’s demanding your attention.
My Solutions
Now you’ve learned a little bit about me, let’s go back to the three things I presented at the top of this page. This is how I can help you.
1 in 4 people will experience a mental health problem
The right idea at the right time can really make a difference. It can be like handing someone a fire extinguisher in a burning building. I can help you build up your own toolkit that’s always there when you need it.
1 in 7 of us will experience a mental health problem in the workplace
We need to find the right balance so we don’t burn out. Getting organised is also a great way to reduce stress and anxiety. Whatever you’re doing, I can help you change the way you work and feel better about it.
1 in 5 adults say they spend more than 40 hours a week online
Technology can either give us the freedom to run free, or it can enslave us. We make that choice. I can help you live with your technology, find the right things and be aware of any problems that appear.
